Ways to Social Distance at Preschool During COVID-19 | Kidzville Learning Center

Covid-19 has affected the whole world in a distinct disgusting manner. The world seems to be in a cage that they want to break and get back to their normal routine structure but can’t. Schools are shut, students have no routine of studies and games. Many children feel it is difficult to start schooling again. In this tough time, when schools are closed, online classes give children the benefit of continuous studies so that this pandemic won’t be a hurdle in their future.

After a struggle of almost 2 years, schools are opening up to bring the curriculum of school back on track. While schools are opening it is the key responsibility of each individual to take conventional and mandatory precautionary norms. Kidzville Learning Center, Preschool in Surrey is following some binding measures to keep children safe and healthy for the advancement of their future.

Now questions are arising, how can we maintain social distancing in classrooms and schools?

Let’s get some idea on why and how to follow these measures against Covid-19.

Work With Reduced Ratios: Schools can’t increase the size of each classroom to provide spacing between the children but we can surely reduce the class strength. Lesser the number of students, the larger the distance between the seats.

Schools should arrange the seating structure of a class in such a way that distancing could be maintained easily.

If there are more admissions in any school, they should arrange a group of students and teachers to continue the curriculum on alternate days so that every student can study and it won’t disturb the social distancing norms of schools.

Same Group of Children and Teachers Every Day: The aim here is to lessen the chance of path crossing of individuals. The same group of children and teachers should be allowed in the same classroom so that there can be a shield created among them which will reduce the risk of coming in contact with any outsider and infecting that group. Grouping will create a shield around them that can’t be broken and disturbed by any other student or teacher.

Alter or Halt Daily Group Activities:  Preschools are all about involving fun activities and playing games with classmates but looking at the social distancing need of the hour, preschools must avoid activities that involve large groups. Instead, they can involve activities that involve only one or two children to perform together.

Activities such as painting, guessing the place, identifying the color, etc, don’t include groupings. Teachers can also include board games that allow only two to four individuals to participate.

Stagger Playground Times: Playground is a wider area than a classroom where children can easily play and maintain a distance but it is also a zone that involves grouping games. To avoid the chance of covid-19 invitation, reduce playground timings of children. Give them space to play games inside the classroom so that they might not feel like going out.

Move Cots & Cribs 6 Feet Apart: Since limited seating is allowed in the classroom, the same should be applied to the nap times. During nap times, move cots and cribs of children far enough to maintain the social distance.

Only Children and Staff Allowed Inside: Give time windows to parents for pick-ups and drop-offs to reduce the risk of congestion inside the school premises. No one should be allowed to enter the school area and classrooms except for children and the staff members.

Take Temperatures Upon Arrival: A temperature check should be compulsory for everyone entering the school to avoid the risk of the Covid-19 virus spreading.

A record should be maintained of the children’s health temperature to keep a keen eye on the healthcare activity.

Children or any other staff suffering from cough, cold, fever, or any other symptom of Covid-19 should be sent straight back home to avoid any chances of risk.

Wear Masks: From entering the school to leaving it, masks should be mandatory for all groups (above 2 years). Teachers must check the masks before a child enters the classroom. Even during school hours and playing time teachers should keep an eye that no one could ever remove their masks off. Extra masks should be available with the teachers in case of need.

Set Up Social Distancing Pods: Since there will be limited class strength, separate the classroom into multiple pods to make children have a boundary which they have to stay within. It will let children maintain social distance easily. Use painter’s lay tape to create pods. Also, the toughest part begins here because it is a great challenge to control little children and keep them in pods. Teachers have put extra effort into maintaining social distancing since small children don’t get why it is so necessary to address precautionary norms.

We know how important it is to follow security norms for the Covid-19 to keep away from us but little children don’t have any idea about it.  Best kids preschool in Surrey arranges sessions to explain to children about Covid-19, its consequences, safety measures, and the importance of safety measures.

Parents should also do their homework to protect their children and keep their future secure by following Covid-19 precautionary norms clearly and adequately. For more info please visit on our Site - www.kidzvillelearningcenters.com
